The easy-to-install indoor AXIS P5512 is a compact, affordably priced day and night pan/tilt/zoom dome camera suitable for surveillance applications in areas such as stores, banks, hotels, warehouses, parking lots and business premises.
The AXIS-P5512 camera enables users at a remote location to pan 360° for overview surveillance, tilt 180° and zoom in 12x with autofocus for detailed views. High image quality is maintained even in low light conditions, thanks to the cameras day/night functionality, which includes an automatically removable IR-cut filter that allows color videos to be sent during daytime and clear, black and white videos in low-light conditions.
The camera provides H.264 and Motion JPEG streams at full frame rate in 4CIF resolution (704x480 in 60 Hz, 704x576 in 50 Hz). H.264 greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. In addition, the SD/SDHC slot on the AXIS P5512 camera enables recordings to be stored locally.
Advanced Gatekeeper enables the AXISP5512 camera to automatically move to a preset position-for instance, zoom in to capture a license plate-when motion is detected in a pre-defined area and return to the home position after a set time.
Intelligent video functions such as video motion detection, audio detection and applications supported by AXIS Camera Application Platform can be used as alarm triggers to activate recording and send notifications via e-mail, HTTP and TCP.
When an optional multi-connector cable is used, AXIS P5512 supports two-way audio, audio detection, input/output ports for external devices and AC/DC power. The indoor AXIS-P5512 has an IP51 rating, which ensures protection against dust and dripping water. The camera can operate even when the sprinkler system is activated.
THe AXISP5512 camera supports standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) IEEE 802.3af, enabling easy installation. The camera simply connects to either a PoE-enabled switch or via a PoE midspan to a switch with one network cable for carrying power, video/audio and PTZ controls. A PoE midspan is not supplied with the camera.
AXIS P5512 camera has IP ratings, ensuring reliable operation in indoor or outdoor environments. No additional enclosures are required. The camera is also designed with easy bayonet mounting to Axis standard mounting accessories for ceiling, wall, pole or corner installations. Mounting brackets for hard and soft ceilings are included with the camera.
