The Bosch EX-8 is an installer‑friendly, vandal resistant ceiling mount camera that incorporates dual CCD image sensors for versatile bi-directional surveillance. The EX 8 is ideal for use in hallways and corridors where it is important to view activity in two directions. The EX8 is available with an M4 mechanical filter LXR CCD, for vivid daytime color and excellent performance under infrared illumination. The EX-8 is designed with installer friendly features, including Pan/tilt/twist camera gimbals for quick and easy CCD and lens adjustments. The hand-adjustable gimbals require no tools and help minimize installation time. With Pan/tilt/twist gimbals, dealers can quickly and easily achieve perfectly horizontal pictures with a simple twist. Installers will appreciate the EX 8 detachable camera platform which allows the housing base to be mounted separately from the camera platform. With this feature, dealers are now free to adjust the optics at a location safer or more convenient than the ceiling.
The EX8 also includes a Video Patch Lead (VPL) for convenient installations. With the VPL, installers can connect portable LCD monitors directly into the EX-8 for instant video confirmation of camera positioning. The EX 8 operates in 12 VDC or 24 VAC and is conduit compatible for easy installation onto standard electrical fixtures for complete cable-management. Constructed of die-cast aluminum, the EX8 provides outstanding optical performance in a sleek, vandal-resistant housing designed for all-weather conditions. Small and compact, the EX-8 is large enough to accommodate varifocal 4-8 mm lenses. The EX8 is ideal for front and rear surveillance at any number of applications including schools and colleges, prisons, banks, transportation hubs and casinos.
