The Bosch VIDEOJET XPRO is the markets most advanced IP video server, with its ultra-high-density architecture delivering 160 channels of full motion DVD quality video over a digital network. Each of the 160 independent MPEG-2 video channels is created at 4CIF resolution, and fully interlaced at 30 IPS. The ultra-high-density design allows the XPros card cage to fit into a 7U rack space, and provides fault-tolerant protection via the integrated redundant power supply.
The XPros DVD quality video streams can be viewed on a standard web browser, or via the VIDOS Video Management software. When combining the XPro with an MPEG-2 hardware decoder (such as the VIP 1000E), you can create point-to-point hybrid analog/digital solutions. This technology provides video transmission from the highest quality analog cameras to analog CCTV monitors with a pure IP solution in-between. Because of its modular design, its easy to configure a VIDEOJETXPRO from three (3) basic components: the card cage, video cards, and hard disk cards. The 7U high card cage allows cooling, contains an internal wide-range optionally redundant power supply, and can accommodate up to 20 single width cards. Each video-only card (V8) delivers eight video channels and consumes a single unit of width.
Each 240 or 600 GB hard disk card consumes two units of width. Using the 240 or 600 GB hard disk card in the VIDEOJET-XPRO allows recording of analog cameras locally, before being sent on to the IP network. The three local record modes are continuous (simplest), alarm, and pre-alarm. The alarm sensitive mode also runs continuously, but increases the frame rate on alarm. A pre-alarm option preserves a short segment of video just prior to the alarm at 1, 2, or 25/30 IPS (PAL/NTSC). The 240 or 600 GB internal hard disk card can store weeks of information. For more extended recording periods, a VIDOS-NVR Network Video Recorder is the solution. Each NVR server stores video from up to 64 cameras on one or two RAID 5 disk arrays, for maximum fault tolerance and a storage capacity in excess of 12 TB. The powerful VIDEOJET XPRO simultaneously allows MPEG-2 live viewing, recording, playback, and backup. With 160 channels in a 7U form factor, it offers the highest port density at this quality of video. Combined with a complete set of security and distributed system management features, it is a true enterprise-class IP video server solution.
