The Everfocus Pollstar Series ED550 Vandal Proof Indoor Color Dome Camera provides a super high resolution of 560 TVL. This model features a 16-bit digital signal processor, which delivers excellent picture quality and provides great performance. As previously mentioned this dome camera is vandal proof and can withstand the impact of a ten pound sledgehammer.
This day/night security camera is a camera that has the capability of automatically switching between day and night modes of operation. This standard day/night surveillance camera records in color during the day and uses software to filter out unwanted infrared light. At night, the camera switches to black and white and stops filtering out the infrared light. This allows you to use infrared illuminators to provide additional illumination in areas that are dark at night.
The ED550 has built-in Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) and offers a 70% savings of disk storage. DNR is the removal of unwanted artifacts in video material. Noise reduction works predominantly by comparing one frame to the next and then removing specks that are not the same in each frame.
The Everfocus ED550 features Backlight compensation (BLC) and auto white balance (AWB), which means the camera has AGC to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. Additionally, this indoor vandal dome camera features SENS-UP 128X slow shutter technology; it will capture images in almost complete darkness with super high sensitivity of 0.002lux.
The ED550 incorporates motion detection as well as a privacy masking feature. This dome camera enables you to observe movements of objects in 4 different places on the screen, the message "MOTION DETECTED" appears on the screen when movement is detected; therefore, this helps to improve supervision efficiency. The camera detects an object's movement by sensing discrepancy of outline. The privacy mask allows the user to mask off areas that are not of interest.
