The Everfocus EVS110 is a great entry level video server. It is IP99 rated and can support recording, playback and live viewing simultaneously. A great feature of this video server, is that when motion is detected, an alarm can be set and either email you or upload the video via File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
One of the best features is that there is no additional software that is needed for the EVS110, it is browser based. You can view any or all IP99 series cameras and encoders simultaneously through any web browser. In addition, you can easily view images on screen and make use of the PTZ controls if you have a PTZ device.
The Everfocus EVS110 Single Channel Video Server supports MPEG4 formatted video at the rate of 30 FPS, which means you can view clear DVD quality video through a browser. This model is capable of broadcasting in both NTSC and PAL formats and has the options of four different types of video resolution D1, half D1, CIF, and QCIF. The multiple video resolutions options allow you choose the best video clarity for each specific broadcasting format.
Additionally, this video server features HTTP and TCP/IP along with 10 other types of data transfer protocols. This system can be set to email or stores still images in an FTP location for future download. There is a user ID and password for secured access.
