The Everfocus VPTZ1000 Outdoor Day/Night security camera features auto Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) with an 18x Zoom lens. To get the best picture possible, a ¼” Sony Interline Transfer Super HAD CCD with 480 TVL of horizontal resolution is used, as well as, an auto switch feature from color to black and white, which enhances light sensitivity at night or in low light conditions.
The Everfocus VPTZ1000 incorporates a day/night function. A day/night security camera is a camera that has the capability of automatically switching between day and night modes of operation. A standard day/night surveillance camera records in color during the day and uses software to filter out unwanted infrared light. At night, the camera switches to black and white and stops filtering out the infrared light. This allows you to use infrared illuminators to provide additional illumination in areas that are dark at night.
The VPTZ1000 Features Backlight Compensation (BLC) and Auto White Balance (AWB), which means the camera has Auto Gain Control (AGC) to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. Additionally, this model features Auto Iris. The use of an auto iris, adjusts the monitoring image brightness so you get clear and sharp pictures.
The Everfocus VPTZ1000 PTZ camera has a built-in heater and fan to tolerate all temperature variants. In addition it is IP66 rated to endure any weather condition. The IP66 weather rating means that this camera is dust tight and can withstand heavy water jet spray.
