NVW-150 and NVW-250 are a powerful new way to connect video equipment with network connections over very large distances using WiFi. Portable and rugged, they are designed with needs of video professionals in mind. Bridge units can be used with video encoders and decoders to transmit video point to point, connect remote locations or transmit globally over the internet. They also can be used to remotely control PTZ Cameras and transmit the pictures. With a new breed of cameras offering wireless and network functionality the Bridge units can extend the usually poor range of these to very useful distances.

NVW-250 in addition to NVW-150 functionality also features a second WiFi radio allowing both long range connectivity to a another NVW-150/NVW-250 unit as well as local connection of any devices via WiFi (up to 100m) or via ethernet. This allows users to use iPads or laptops to connect in addition to the long range network cable like connection. The NVW-250 comes in a ruggedized case with built in dual V-Mount power supply which can last all day (batteries not included). Dual V-Mount power supplies, the ability to mount larger, higher capacity V-Mount batteries, and built in 12v 5A regulated XLR power outlet

The NVW-250 takes WiFi connectivity to the next level, designed to offer industry leading levels of performance and reliability without compromise. Coupling a powerful 28dBm (aggregate) transmit power and industry leading carrier class receiver sensitivity means that the NVW-250 offers unrivalled range performance and stability even in the most challenging of environments.

The NVW-250s unique design allows one radio to be used for the long range link between two bridging units and the other radio for local device access. This system allows the bridging units to be static while the devices at each end can roam freely within the local hotspots range, this allows high gain directional antennas to be used for the backhaul without affecting the free roaming of your devices. Alternatively the secondary local radio can be used to connect to another bridging unit extending range even further.

Built into a ruggedized water resistant case the unit can be powered from any v-lock battery or power over Ethernet. Each unit comes complete with two 5dBi omni-directional antennas for the main backhaul radio and two 5dBi antennas for the secondary radio. Externally mountable directional antennas are available for longer range links. The devices legacy switched diversity mode even allows multiple antennas to be used to cover a larger geographical area with multiple directional antennas.

A built in LED signal strength indicator makes staying within range easy, while the unit will automatically adjust transmission rates and channel numbers based on current link conditions. In more challenging environments the devices comprehensive web interface offers a full site survey feature and powerful channel interference monitor ensuring you always achieve the highest link standard possible.

The NVW-250 uses completely unlicensed 5Ghz bands and complies with IEEE802.11d global standards for licence free operation worldwide, offering transmission speeds of up to 300Mbps and ranges up to 0.5km (standard antennae) / 10km (external antenna and height dependant) while staying below the UKs 30 dBm EIRP power limit.

The NVW-250 supports multiple operating modes, in addition to the standard point to point mode Point to multipoint mode allows you to connect multiple bridge units together, you are not just limited to two units. If the distance between two units is just too much for the standard antennas and fixed external antennas are not practical the Bridge Duo features a repeater mode allowing an additional unit to be installed in between to regenerate and repeat the signal. The unit can even act as a high powered wireless router, in this mode the Ethernet port becomes the WAN port.

Bridging, it’s like having wires just without the wires

Bridging is completely transparent, this means the devices connected to either end of the WiFi link will behave exactly as they would if they were connected directly with an Ethernet cable. Setup couldn’t be easier.

The best possible WiFi Experience

The NVW-250 pushes current WiFi technology and local regulatory restrictions to their limit.

Ideal for covering larger distances, directional antennas can be used to connect bridging units while the local access point still allows free Omni-directional roaming at each end

Supports transmission distances greater than 500m with standard antennae / 10KM with external antennae

Automatically avoids interferance

Dual V-mount battery slots for extended battery life

Regulated 12V 5A XLR power output for powering external devices

No radio licences required

Ideal for use with Datavideo the Datavideo NVS-20 H264 encoder and NVD-20 decoder
