The JAI's BB-500GE OP22-5-1 is a GigE Vision compliant color camera offering 5 megapixel resolution and a "B Series" cubic form factor. The OP22-5-1 designation indicates that the camera has been certified for operation across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +65°C, making it capable of withstanding harsh field environments (standard temperature range is -5°C to +45°C).
The BB 500GE OP22-5-1 camera utilizes the Sony ICX625 CCD and operates at 15 frames/second in continuous mode even with a 5 megapixel resolution, thanks to a well-crafted analog front end design. Partial scan and draft modes (high speed readout) are also provided.
The BB500GE OP22-5-1 camera offers superb thermal management and pre-processing functions such as: white balance, LUT for compensating lighting condition and a blemish compensation function. It uses a standard color filter array on the sensor to provide raw Bayer output for host-based color interpolation.
The JAI GigE SDK package contains all software components required for easily integrating the BB-500GE OP22-5-1 camera into vision applications. The SDK also contains the JAI control tool and a highly efficient filter driver.
