With the 'UV Sensitivity Option', the Sony ICX205AL CCD in JAI's popular CV-A1 camera is replaced with a Sony ICX407BLA sensor, specially designed for UV sensitivity. The CV-A1-UV features enhanced UV responsiveness with virtually no drop-off in sensitivity for wavelengths between 300 and 200nm. The sensor comes with microlenses removed and a quartz window to protect against accidental damage.
