The JAI's EOC-B141GE is a GigE Vision compliant color camera offering 1.4 megapixel resolution and a "B Series" cubic form factor. The EO designation indicates that the camera has been certified for "extended operation" across a temperature range of -40°C to +65°C, making it capable of withstanding harsh field environments (standard temperature range is -5°C to +45°C).
The EOC B141GE is designed around Sony's popular ICX285 2/3" progressive scan CCD (1392 x 1040 pixels) providing excellent sensitivity and spectral response. This sensor uses its 6.45 μm pixel size and improved microlens technology to provide higher overall sensitivity (as low as 0.2 lux) with low smear characteristics. It uses a standard color filter array on the sensor to provide raw Bayer output for host-based color interpolation.
The EOCB141GE is particularly well suited for outdoor applications, which are characterized by wide ranging and continuously changing lighting conditions. The camera features advanced Automatic Level Control (ALC) functionality that can simultaneously control gain, shutter, and lens iris to maintain optimum exposure levels across a wide range of changing lighting conditions.
The EOC-B141GE camera also offers pre-set shutter speeds up to 1/10,000 second and programmable exposures as short as 63 μs for capturing fast moving objects.
The JAI GigE SDK package contains all software components required for easily integrating the EOC B141GE camera into vision applications. The SDK also contains the JAI control tool and a highly efficient filter driver.
Conformal coating is offered as an option.
