These Kappa PS40S-285GigE camera models provide a special function which allows to authenticate images with an electronic signature. With this signature any manipulation of the image data is evident without and doubt.
The PS40S 285GigE "Signature Cameras" can be operated at megapixel resolution with real time signal processing, 12 to 30 fps (full image), binning, partial scan, CameraLink interface as a standard industrial camera. Additionally, the signature function provides forgery-proof image data. The signature is created inside the camera according to the 1024 bit RSA signature procedure and according to the 512 bit SHA hash function. Thus, the signature complies with all technical legal requirements for "advanced and qualified electronic signatures".
With the PS40S285GigE additional data (e.g., date and time, measuring values) can be transferred via the serial interface into the camera and signed together with the image data as one document.
