The Marshall Electronics MXL-9090 condenser microphone is like having two mics in one. The trick is a unique design that uses two selectable diaphragms: the front side has a warm, lush sound, and the microphone's back side is bright and airy.
With the MXL 9090's flip of a switch, you get a completely different sound from a single microphone, and a bright red LED shine through the grill indicating which capsule is energized.
