→ The recorder will be appliance based with an embedded real-time operating system. Software-based Operating Systems capable of being modified by the user will not be acceptable. The OS must reside completely within the hardware and not be installed on the hard disk drives. Installed disk drives must be dedicated to recording video.
→ The recorder's storage will be infinitely expandable through the use of hot-swappable SATA 120GB Hard Disk Cartridges.
→ The recorder will have 2 separate network interfaces. One for system (camera plus client) connection, one for maintenance connection. The jack for the maintenance connection will be located on the front of the recorder to facilitate access in rack mounted recorders.
→ The recorder will support Panasonic's i-Pro series of IP camera to include, but not be limited to the models WV-NP244, WV-NP1004, WV-NS202, WV-NF294, WV-NP472, WV-NW474A, WV-NS324, WV-NM100.
→ The recorder will support JPEG, M-JPEG and/or MPEG-4 if supported by the connected camera.
→ The recorder will also support AXIS 241S and 241Q video encoders' JPEG Modes.
→ The Recorder will support individual Recording Rate and Image Quality settings for each of Emergency, Event, Schedule and Manual Recording Modes.
→ The recorder will be viewable from any properly connected PC using Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0 or greater.
→ Images contained in the recorder and removable Hard Drives will be protected by the proprietary file structure and accessible only by stand-alone or embedded Viewer Software. The recorder will provide for additional protection through alteration detection available through stand-alone or embedded Viewer Software.
→ The recorder will provide for user authentication and support different user privileges based on logon ID.
→ After authentication, the user will be able to do the following through the included web browser viewer and without the use of any additional software: Setup camera, Define live viewing, recording rates and quality settings, Define recording programs and schedules, View live video in either single or quad views, Search and playback recorded video, Download selected recorded video, Control connected PTZ cameras.
→ The Recorder will include the internal capability of 16 hard-wired dry contact Alarm Inputs. The use of an external I/O Board will not be acceptable.
→ The Recorder will include the internal capability of 16 hard-wired dry contact Alarm Outputs. The use of an external I/O Board will not be acceptable.
→ The Recorder will contain inputs and outputs to support the notification of a power failure in progress and the activation of an external UPS device.
→ The Recorder's time recording mode and recording commencement will be able to activated externally through an input, as well as through external software commands.
→ Should a Network Error occur, the recorder will provide a built-in means of external notification. The use of an external I/O Board for this purpose will not be acceptable.
→ Should a Hard Disk near its capacity, the recorder will provide a built-in means of external notification, in addition to alarm email or other network-based notifications. The use of an external I/O Board for this purpose will not be acceptable.
→ The Recorder will also use the optional viewer software model WV-AS65, that is capable of viewing multiple cameras from multiple recorders on a single screen and provide the following:
→ Software will manage up to 100 network connected Model WJ-ND200 Recorders.
→ Software will be able to display live video from any camera on any connected recorder.
→ Software will be able to display 1, 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 multiplexed video.
→ Software will show registered recorders on the network as icons in a drop down menu. Cameras will be shown as icons on the same menu, indented under the attached recorder.
→ Software will enable user to assign any video from any recorder into any window on the multiplexed display by dragging and dropping a camera icon to any window
→ Software will permit up to 500 different display combinations to be saved as favorites for easy recall.
→ Software will permit the registration of up to 32 different user names and passwords and provide at least 3 different levels of user privileges.
→ Software will permit the remote operation of properly configured Pan, Tilt, Zoom cameras subject to the user privilege level.
→ Software will provide search capabilities for attached recorders and allow search by Event, Mark or Motion. It must apply these search criteria across multiple recorders.
