The Sennheiser compact, portable SP-230 is a two-channel self-contained modulator/emitter in one unit that operates at higher sub-carrier frequencies, thus avoiding interference from fluorescent lighting. It is especially well-suited to medium sized conferences and meeting room applications, as the SP230 can be set up easily on a podium or microphone stand and requires only the simple connection of a microphone, tape recorder (or similar audio source), and a wall outlet. It can remotely power one SZI 1015 medium area emitter panel for up to 4,000/2,000 sq. ft. of additional coverage (single-/two-channel mode).
