The Sony ICX-625 is a diagonal 11.016mm (Type 2/3) interline CCD soIid—state image sensor with a square pixelarray and 5.05M effective pixels. Progressive scan enables all pixel signals to be output separately withinapproximately 1/15 second, and also output using various addition and elimination methods.
The Sony ICX625 chip featuresan electronic shutter with variable charge-storage time which makes it possible to realize full-frame still imageswithout a mechanical shutter. High sensitivity and low dark current are achieved through the adoption of Super HAD CCD technology.
