The Vitek VT-PTZ18W Indoor Day/Night security camera features auto Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) with a 18x Optical/ 12x Digital Zoom lens. To get the best picture possible, a 1/4 " Sony Interline Transfer Super HAD CCD with 550 TVL of horizontal resolution is used.

This model has a built-in, 4.1-73.8mm lens and offers a Minimum Illumination of 0.7 lux/F1.8 for normal shutter speed and 0.07 lux slow shutter.

The VT-PTZ18W incorporates a True Day/Night function. A True Day/Night camera is a more advanced type of day/night camera that uses an IR Cut Filter to provide the day/night functionality. Using an IR Cut Filter allows the camera to produce a much cleaner and brighter image in both day and night mode.

Another great attribute is the Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR). Dynamic Noise Reduction is the removal of unwanted artifacts in video material. Noise reduction works predominantly by comparing one frame to the next and then removing specks that are not the same in each frame.

This PTZ camera features Wide Dynamic Range (WDR). The Digital Wide Dynamic Range expansion is used to deliver properly exposed images despite bright light sources, deep shadows and/or unbalanced lighting in the same scene.

The Vitek VT-PTZ18W features slow shutter. The slow shutter feature helps to provide clear imaging. The shutter automatically adjusts based on the lighting. Additionally, this model features Backlight Compensation (BLC) and Auto White Balance (ATW), which means the camera, has Auto Gain Control (AGC) to correct exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light.

The VT-PTZ18W also has an integrated privacy zone masking attribute. The privacy mask allows the user to mask off areas that are not of interest. The privacy attributes are 8 Privacy Zones Video off or up to 8 masked blocks.

The Vitek VT-PTZ18W makes it easy to track the action, there are 248 preset positions available and 8 cruise tours that can be set. Additionally, this camera has a built-in RS-485/422 half-duplex mode and supports up to 64 devices.
