Description of Tamron M118-FM25

An improved series of ultra-high performance Fixed-Focal Industrial Lenses optimized for 1 1/8" and 1/2" image processing cameras. In addition to the outstanding center performance as a matter of course, the peripheral optical performance has been dramatically improved. Best for FA (Factory Automation) and Machine Vision applications.

Performance at close distances, the usual condition for FA/Machine Vision applications, is enhanced to a great degree. In order to be compatible with mega-pixel cameras, high optical performance is secured from center all the way to the image corners.

In addition, the close focusing capability, an important factor for FA/Machine Vision lenses, is improved. Compared to a normal lens, the minimum object distance is improved due to a new design.
