Description of NVT NV418A

The NVT Model NV418A is a passive dual audio & video transceiver (non-amplified) that allows transmission of real-time monochrome or color video over Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) telephone wire. The NV418A is an exceptional interference rejection transceiver with low emissions that allow the use of a shared or existing cable plant. This "Up the coax" transceiver uses a type of signal may be sent over the same wire pair.

Applications include Security/Surveillance, Video Distribution, Video Conferencing, or Distance Learning.

The NV418A comes with an RJ-45 patch-cord. For Rack-mounting, use the NV-418AR.

Dual Full-motion monochrome or color video and audio at distances up to:
- 1,000ft (300m) when used with another NV-418A
- 3,000ft (1km) when used with an active receiver such as the NV-518A
No power required
Exceptional interference rejection
Built-in transient protection
Supports "up-the-coax" type control signals
RJ-45 and RCA jack connections
Limited lifetime warranty
