Description of Sony PDWF30

The PDW-F30, XDCAM HD viewing deck, plays back 1080/60i, 50i and true 24P, 25P and 30P with compatible play back of variable frame rates. The PDW-F30 plays back Professional Disc media recorded in the MPEG HD format and can also down-convert this material to DV output. The deck will also play back DVCAM material and offers up-conversion to HD output capability. The deck equipped with Y/Pb/Pr (HD), RGB, SD analog composite, analog audio, XGA/VGA and audio monitoring. Also i.LINK interface supports File Access Mode (for input and output) and DV OUTPUT. Optional Gigabit-Ethernet board supports network-based file transfer. An optional board also allows input and output of 25 Mbps MPEG TS (Transport Stream) for easy integration with HDV equipment and non-linear editors.

  • Outputs: Y/Pb/Pr (HD), RGB, SD analog composite, analog audio, XGA/VGA, audio monitor (L/R)
  • Other interfaces: RS-422A, RS-232C, Ethernet (option)
  • i.LINK interface that supports File Access Mode and DV Out
  • HD down-conversion capability: DV output via i.LINK (DV OUT) port or base-band SD output via analog component or composite ports
    16:9, 3.5-inch-type color LCD display
  • A simple remote commandar unit is supplied
  • Optional Gigabit Ethernet capability for network-based file transfer
  • Optional capability to input and output 25 Mbps MPEG TS (Transport Stream) for interfacing with HDV products or HDV-based non-linear editors via i.LINK port
  • Dimensions (W x H x D): 12 1/8 x 4 x 16 1/2" inches (307 x 100 x 417 mm)
