The TLR 2024 is a full-featured, versatile 24-hour time-lapse recorder designed for a wide variety of security applications. From simple small retail applications to large industrial security systems, the TLR-2024 has the features needed to satisfy almost any application.

Recording modes include 2- and 6-hour real time, and VHS-compatible 12- or 24-hour time-lapse modes. This means that the TLR2024 is capable of storing up to 24 hours of video information on a single T-120 VHS tape. In addition, the TLR 2024 can be programmed to record specific time periods on a daily or weekly schedule. It can also be set up to record only upon activation by an external alarm. Using these features in combination with the time-lapse capability, the recording time can be extended significantly.

The TLR-2024 can also be programmed to repeat record. This means that when the end of the tape is reached, the unit will automatically rewind and begin recording again. If an alarm is received at any time during recording, the unit will stop at the end of the tape. The TLR2024 also has an end-of-tape output that can be used to activate another recorder. With this feature, multiple The TLR 2024 can be interconnected to increase the recording time capabilities of the system.

Special playback features include speed search and reverse playback. Using the front panel jog/shuttle control, users can quickly search through the recording in either direction, then easily switch to forward/reverse, field-by-field movement for detailed study. The TLR-2024 also provides the ability to search to the minute (in all modes) for a specific date and time.

Programming menus that appear on the video monitor provide easy setup of the VCR. The menus can be activated without a video input signal.

A lock mode locks out all functions of the front panel, preventing any change to the unit's settings. A tape use counter displays how many times the same tape has been recorded in the repeat recording mode. This information is useful in deciding tape replacement. Another useful maintenance feature is the elapsed time of recording and playback that can be used to schedule preventative maintenance and head replacement.

The TLR2024 provides a programmable clock pulse output that enables it to be easily interfaced to Pelco's Genex(TM) Series multiplexers for automatic speed tracking.
