Audio Products and Speakers from Extron offer a wide array of solutions ideal for A/V sound system installation and operation. They include speakers, switchers, distribution amplifiers, matrix switchers, power amplifiers, a variety of signal processors, bulk cables, and cables and adapters. 

Many of Extron's Audio Products are used to solve specific problems and provide a convenient, economical means of adding functional capability to an existing system. For example, the integrated mini power amplifier shown below amplifies the audio output from a projector to a speaker system, offering a simple yet preferred alternative to relying solely on the projector's internal speaker for sound distribution throughout a classroom or conference room.

Extron Audio Products also include high performance cable products and adapters used to integrate with Extron switchers, distribution amplifiers, and matrix switchers to distribute and route audio signals in an A/V sound system.

Some of the Extron System speakers are used in small and large classrooms, conference rooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums. They are suitable for both low and high power delivery applications, and are optimized for smooth, accurate reproduction of music and voice.

Various Types Available:

Speakers: designed to deliver optimized voice and music reproduction, as well as wide angle sound distribution, for a variety of applications. These high performance speakers include surface mount speakers, ceiling speakers, and in-wall speakers.

Power Amplifiers: Extron Power Amplifiers amplify line-level input audio signals, such as from a DVD player or VCR, and output sufficient power to drive a system of speakers. Some Integrated Mini Power Amplifiers can be conveniently mounted above a projector, and used to amplify the projector audio output to help provide the necessary room coverage and sound quality for a classroom or conference room.

Mic Preamplifiers: Extron Mic Preamplifiers facilitate the addition of a microphone to an A/V device or system. They interface with the line level audio input of a switcher or line level mixer, and the Aux/Mic input on the Extron MediaLink™ Series of products.

Mixers: Extron Mixers are compact, high performance products that allow multiple input audio sources to be combined into a single audio output. These flexible and convenient products are ideal whenever multiple or additional audio sources need to be incorporated into an A/V device or system.

Audio Switchers: Extron's high performance Audio Switchers enable selection between several stereo sources. The selected input can be directed to an amplifier, powered speakers, or to an existing sound system. Extron Audio Switchers are available with captive screw connections for unbalanced and balanced signals, or with RCA connectors for unbalanced audio signals.

Audio Matrix Switchers: Audio Matrix Switchers are part of Extron's comprehensive line of high performance matrix switching solutions. They are designed to route several mono or stereo audio inputs to a number of sound systems, such as in multi-room applications. Audio Matrix Switchers include captive screw connections for compatibility with balanced and unbalanced audio sources.

Audio Distribution Amplifiers: Extron offers a variety of Audio Distribution Amplifiers which distribute a stereo input signal to several outputs. Applications include multi-sound system distribution and audio recording. Extron's Audio Distribution Amplifiers are available with RCA or captive screw connectors.

Signal Processors: Signal Processors manipulate or process audio signals through various means, such as volume adjustment, mixing between multiple signals, and tone or equalization. Each Signal Processor is designed to serve a specific need to address an audio system issue, or provide convenient add-on capabilities to an existing installation.

Audio Accessories: Audio Products Accessories provide convenience and additional functionality for select Extron Audio Products, such as remote volume and mute control of the  Integrated Mini Power Amplifiers.

Cables & Adapters: Extron Audio Cables are terminated with RCA or 3.5 mm connectors for transmission of line-level stereo signals. Extron also offers Audio Adapters for audio signal interfacing, e.g., between RCA and captive screw connectors.

Audio Bulk Cables:Extron STP Audio/Control Cables in 22 and 20 gauge conductors are ideal for transmission and distribution of line-level audio signals. Extron Low Cap STP 24 Serial Control/Digital Audio Cables are designed for long-distance transmission and distribution of AES/EBU digital audio signals. Extron SPK Speaker Cables are offered with 18, 16, or 14 gauge conductors. All Audio Bulk Cables, available in plenum and non-plenum versions, deliver high performance and reliability.
