Kappa was one of the first camera manufacturers to offer
cooled cameras and today it maintains this tradition with its latest
generation of Peltier-cooled sensors. The major difference between back
then and today is that thermo-electrical systems have replaced coolants as
a means of generating differences in temperature. |
|
The matching Kappa sdk3 offers a state-of-the-art software environment based on .net and C-API. In
combination with the sdk or a detailed interface description the PS cameras convince as
high- performance components in all measuring and testing machines. |
|
As standard the series comes in a block housing, but for the individual touch it is also available in a striking hexagonal design
housing. The user can choose from a range of high quality CCD sensors with
mega pixel resolution by Sony and Kodak. |
|
The digital PS cameras have been designed especially for software integration. High frame rates are achieved by binning and partial scan, while the image size remains freely adjustable. |

The signature is created inside the camera according to the 1024 bit RSA signature procedure and according to the 512 bit SHA hash function. Thus, the signature complies with all technical legal requirements for “advanced- and qualified electronic signatures”. |
|
To help reduce readout noise Kappa cameras can be read out with a reduced clock rate. Electronic noise is kept at bay by using high-quality components and employing sophisticated circuitry.
In order to reduce the negative influence of noise it is advisable to keep electronic enhancement at a minimum. |

With a verified minimum illumination of 0,00047lx the Kappa NVS is one of the most light-sensitive cameras on the security market. Maximum light sensitivity and 24 LED’s give you a clear view at night. |
|
The sensitivity of the new 12 Bit b/w-camera CF 8 HS is extremely high. A high sensitive sensor in combination with intelligent low-noise circuits raise the sensitivity by 400 %. |
|
The monochrome system with increased resistance to temperature, shock, and vibrations comes with 12 bit DSP and > 58 dB SNR. Long-time integration is possible in combination with the Software Kappa ImageBase and frame grabber. |
|
The cameras are equipped with 1/2“, 1/3“ or 1/4"
CCD sensors and offer full video resolution at 752 x 582 pixel (PAL) or
768 x 494 pixel (NTSC). Equipped with a C-Mount and a one cable connection
this all-round camera can be used in endo-, macro- and microscopy. |
