The Middle Atlantic ERK-Series weight capacity shall be 2,500 lbs. Rack shall be constructed of the following materials: top and bottom shall be 16-gauge steel, horizontal braces shall be 16-gauge steel welded to integral structural side panels of 16-gauge steel giving an 1/8” thick structure, all structural elements shall be finished in a durable black powder coat. Rack shall include a vented, locking and latching rear door. Rack shall come equipped with one pair of fully adjustable 11-gauge steel rackrail with tapped 10-32 mounting holes in universal EIA spacing, black e-coat finish and numbered rackspaces. Rack shall include solid locking rear door standard and solid side panels with vertical slotted vent pattern at top and bottom (and laser knockouts for cable pass-through on 44, 40, and 35 space models). Top and bottom of rack shall feature vertical slotted vent pattern. Rack shall have removable split rear knockout panels with 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, and 1-1/2” electrical knockouts installed in base and a removable rear knockout panel with 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, and 1-1/2” electrical knockouts and BNC knockouts for UHF/VHF antennae installed in top. Grounding and bonding stud shall be 1/4-20 threaded, installed in base of enclosure.

The ERK series enclosures shall satisfy the 2007 & 2010 CBC; 2006, 2009 & 2012 IBC; ASCE 7-05 (2005 Edition) & ASCE 7-10 (2010 Edition) and the 2006 & 2009 editions of NFPA 5000 for use in areas of high seismicity, Seismic Use Group III, Zone 4 or Seismic Design Category (SDC) “D” with lateral force requirements for protecting 600 lbs. of essential equipment in locations with the highest level of seismicity and top floor or rooftop installations with an Importance factor (Ip) of 1.5 when used with ERK-Z4 seismic floor anchor bracket. Rack shall be UL Listed in the US and Canada. Rack shall be GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified for Children and Schools. Rack shall be RoHS EU Directive 2002/95/EC compliant. Rack shall be manufactured by an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registered company. Rack shall be warrantied to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and conditions for the lifetime of the product.

Fully welded construction, solid sides UL Listed in the US and Canada.
1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2" electrical knockouts found on removable split rear 16-gauge steel tops, bottoms, & sides.
Laser-cut 1/8" thick internal steel braces for strength.
1 pair fully-adjustable front rackrail.
Large cable entry in bottom.
Grounding and bonding stud installed in base.
Configurable top (44, 40, 35 sp.), solid top with fan KO’s (27, 21, 18 sp.).
Laser KO’s in side panels for cable pass-through (44, 40, 35 sp. only).
Finished in a durable black textured powder coat.
Seismic certified to the following codes and standards 2007 & 2010 CBC; 2006, 2009

& 2012 IBC; ASCE 7-05 (2005 Edition) & ASCE 7-10 (2010 Edition) and the 2006 & 2009 editions of NFPA 5000 for use in areas of high seismicity – Zone 4 or Seismic Design Category (SDC) "D". These are designed for Mission Critical and/or High-Importance Installations in locations with the highest level of seismicity and top floor or rooftop installations including those within UBC and CBC Essential facilities or IBC, ASCE 7, and NFPA 5000 Seismic Use Group III facilities. For all codes, the Importance factor (Ip) is 1.5. Seismic Certified load capacity of 600 lbs. when used with ERK-Z4 seismic floor anchor brackets..
