Used with black-and-white cameras to aid in increasing contrast and resolution, the Midwest Optical LP515 filters block blue and UV wavelengths and pass all other visible and near infrared light. To block longer wavelengths – including infrared light – see the BP535 bandpass filter. Longer wavelengths can have adverse affects when trying to separate subject matter.
