With a vandal-resistant rating of IK10, the Sony SNC-ZM551 Network Mini Dome Camera features IPELA Hybrid — Sony’s IP over-coax technology — allowing customers to migrate easily to HD IP video surveillance systems, utilizing existing analog infrastructure, such as cables, power supplies, switchers, controllers and monitors, thus minimizing investment in new infrastructure. IPELA Hybrid offers a cost effective and environmentally friendly installation. This camera is capable of simultaneously transmitting analog SD and IP HD images over a single coaxial cable
The SNC-ZM551 offers dual streaming, which can feature any combination of 3 industry-standard compression formats – JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 – meaning that the camera uses the optimum compression format for every kind of data. The camera also offers a built-in variable focus lens, 1280 x 1024 maximum HD resolution, as well as the 1/3" type Exmor CMOS sensor for high image quality and low noise.
SNC-ZM551 features include:
- Simultaneous transmission of IP HD video and analog SD video
- Maximum cable length of 1,000 feet (300 m) with an RG-59 coaxial cable
- The Exmor™ CMOS sensor delivers high quality images with low noise
- IK10-rated vandal-resistant feature to protect the camera from destructive behaviors. An IK10 rated camera can withstand the impact of up to an 11 lb. weight dropped on it from a height of approximately 15 1/2 inches
- Easy Zoom / Easy Focus - allows changing the field of view and focus remotely or locally
- True Day/Night function to switch to Day or Night mode depending on the light level
- True Day/Night function to switch to Day or Night mode depending on the light level
- DEPA™ Intelligent Video analytics enables cameras to send not only video images, but related metadata, including object data (size and position) to the DEPA-enabled recorder. Since part of the image processing is done on the camera side, the load to the recorder can be reduced enabling camera expansion
- ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) Version 1.02 software that ensures greater interoperability and more flexibility in building multiple-vendor systems
- Smartphone viewer for accessing the camera from a smartphone
